Dr. Brown joins us from Washington State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degrees. While obtaining her undergraduate degree Dr. Brown volunteered to help care for grizzly bears and researched transgenerational epigenetic inheritance. During Veterinary school Dr. Brown had a research project on normal heart rates for healthy puppies and raised two puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. After graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 she moved with her husband to Florida so they could live closer to her family.
Dr. Brown enjoys exploring Florida with her husband Zac, and spending time with their cats Mac and Nala and the family dog Daisy. Her passions within veterinary medicine include preventative medicine, internal medicine, surgery, pain management, and end of life care. Dr. Brown also has a special place in her heart for nervous pets and trying to make their experiences to see her as stress free as possible.
