Wellness Visits

Regular wellness exams are an important part of keeping your pet healthy and happy. Our experienced veterinarians conduct thorough physical examinations with each wellness checkup to develop a health profile for your pet. This will help detect early signs of illnesses that may not be visible at home and address other health concerns before they get worse.

Microchipping

Even the most responsible pet owners can be separated from their pet. Save yourself days or weeks of worry by microchipping your pet. Our pet care vet in Hamlin has extensive experience providing this service as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Vaccinations

Pets are vulnerable to viruses and other germs they can catch from other animals or just from going outside. Many of these diseases can make pets very sick and some, such as rabies, can be deadly. Getting your pet vaccines in Hamlin safely allows your pet to develop natural immunity to these illnesses.

Very friendly! My dog hates getting nails cut, they had no problem with him at all!...

Kind, knowledgeable doctors who love animals. They explain any procedures and prices and give options when possible for procedures. Wait time is reasonable.

Protect your furry friend from harmful parasites

Dogs are naturally curious explorers, venturing into the great outdoors and socializing with other pets. While curiosity is great, it also increases their risk of contracting harmful parasites like fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites like heartworm disease, round worms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms, just to name a few.

With dogs’ active lifestyles, relying on other treatments leaves gaps in their protection. To protect your pet’s well-being, ask your veterinarian about giving your pet a broad spectrum of coverage.

Meet our Passionate Veterinarians:

Dr. Jon E. Nadler

DVM, Practice Owner

Dr. Nadler graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduation, he married his high school sweetheart and moved back to his hometown, Orlando, to begin working as a veterinarian. Dr. Nadler found his way to West Orange Veterinary Hospital in early 2007 and became a partner on January 1, 2008.

As an owner, Dr. Nadler has focused on maintaining the highest medical standards and bringing state of the art medical capabilities to West Orange Veterinary Hospital. This focus has helped WOVH achieve a very high level of respect in the Winter Garden and Central Florida veterinary community in general.

Dr. Nadler has a special interest in surgery and more specifically orthopedic surgery. He is one of very few veterinarians in Central Florida performing TPLO surgeries to repair torn cruciate ligaments in the stifle (knee) of injured dogs.

During his time off, you can probably find Dr Nadler at “The Swamp” attending a Florida Gator football game, hacking his way through a local golf course, or on a boat trying to catch an elusive fish.

Dr. Hunter Schrank

DVM, Practice Owner

Dr. Hunter Schrank received his Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from The University of Florida, where he became a published researcher in marine biology. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida as well, where he served as his class president for his entire doctorate program.

After graduating, Dr. Schrank and his wife moved to Texas, where they started a family. They have two children, a daughter and son, and two adopted animals, a dog and cat. Dr. Schrank is a proud born and raised Floridian (and Gator), and he and his family are excited to be back in the state that they call home. Dr. Schrank has a lot of varied interests, and his hobbies include personal fitness, surfing, snorkeling, free diving, boating, fishing, snowboarding, video games, and dining out.

Dr. Schrank’s passion for veterinary medicine goes well beyond his love for animals and feels honored to be able to provide care to animals in need. He relishes a challenge and constantly looks to improve his abilities for the betterment of the care that he provides to his patients. He has a curious personality and enjoys using modern diagnostic methods and therapies to ensure that his patients receive a high standard of care to the best of his abilities.

He treats each one of his patients as if they were his own pet, and understands that the relationship between people and animals, for many individuals, is just as much about family as it is about friendship.
